Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hydratite?
The Hydratite at Sapphire Aesthetics is a unique combination of two of today’s most popular treatments, The HydraFacial, to improve skin condition and health, and Radio Frequency Skin Tightening. One way of thinking about the extra benefits of the HydraFacial and Skin Tightening combination is 1 + 1 = 3. Hydrated skin responds more effectively to radio frequency treatment, enhancing the tightening effect on the skin.
What happens during my Hydratite treatment?

Skin tightening and HydraFacial combined treatment takes place in one of our modern treatment rooms, and a full treatment lasts an hour a half.

Step 1: The treatment starts with relaxing Lymphatic drainage, which stimulates the Lymph flow, removes toxins and bathes the skin with fresh lymph fluid. Following this, the skin is then simultaneously exfoliated and deep cleansed using HydraFacial’s patented Vortex cleaning process, delivering tailored serums such as botanical cleansers and glucosamine deeply into the skin. This stage makes HydraFacial one of the best treatments for improving puffiness under the eyes.

Step 2: A light glycolic brightening solution is then infused into the skin to stimulate collagen and soften any blockages before we perform an extraction to purge pores of any debris, impurities and blackheads. We are able to remove dead cells and improve congestion, even in difficult-to-reach areas such as the corners of the nose. When the treatment is complete, you’ll even be able to see the amount of dirt that was removed from your skin inside the serum collector!

Step 3: The radio frequency stage is delivered next. The top dead layer of the skin has been removed with the HydraFacial, allowing the Radio Frequency waves to penetrate more effectively into the skin. The cleansed pores are now able to tighten as a result of the Radio Frequency and the main collagen tightening and stimulation effect of the Radio Frequency is enhanced due to the increased hydration in the skin. Radio Frequency heats the water molecules in the skin, which in turn heats the collagen cells. With more hydration in the skin, heat can be created and sustained for longer.

Step 4: The skin is then treated with the “Liquid Gold” of the HydraFacial where a blend of antioxidants, horse chestnut seed extract and hyaluronic acid are vortex infused. This further hydrates the skin, cools down any discomfort from the Radio Frequency, and protects the skin from environmental damage.

Step 5: Finally the skin is treated to Infrared and Red LED light treatment to stimulate further collagen and give you a healthy glow!

After Hydratite

After treatment, you may find that the skin becomes flushed or red, with a heated sensation for a short while. We provide creams and cooling to give you comfort before and after the treatment. Most people will need around 3 treatments 1 month apart, but there is no limit to how many you can have. Over a period of several months, your skin will regenerate itself, feeling clearer, smoother and plumper, whilst also firmer and lifted.

Is Hydratite suitable for me?

We’ve seen some remarkable results from this dual treatment of HydraFacial Skin Rejuvenation and Radiofrequency Skin Tightening, hugely enhancing the effects of these two procedures alone . We recommend that you book a free consultation to find out whether Hydratite is the best treatment for your requirements. The HydraFacial section of the treatment is not suitable if an active skin infection such as herpes simplex, i.e. cold sores are present. Those with a history of irregular skin healing or those who have taken isotretinoin (Roaccutane®) within the last 6 months are also not advised to undergo treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are very minimal, aside from some minor redness or a heated feeling (similar to sunburn). We use anaesthetic creams to maximise comfort during treatment, and provide post-treatment products if required. Hydratite skin tightening and exfoliating treatment is safe for all ages and all kinds of skin, and we have achieved excellent results with our clients who choose this treatment.

How much does it cost?

Price on consultation.
