Frequently Asked Questions

Would I benefit from fillers?
If your skin is beginning to sag or droop down you may be able to obtain significant benefits by using facial fillers designed to re-stimulate your own collagen production.
What type of fillers are used?
At Sapphire Aesthetics we use a Hyaluronic Acid Filler from the Juvederm Vycross range. Hyaluronic acid is a natural ingredient that is found in the body, but diminishes as we age. The fillers are a popular means of adding volume to the facial structure, creating a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. They work to iron out wrinkled, crepey skin and give a much fuller look. Due to the high levels of hyaluronic acid, they also attract and retain water, improving the skin’s appearance and texture. Juvederm contains lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) which makes the process more comfortable. Overall, Juvederm is an excellent skin filler, providing long-lasting results and few risks.
What areas are treated?
Fillers are placed in areas that have lost volume in the skin thus result in a natural lift and tightening of the skin.

These are ideal for filling fine lines, some types of nasolabial groove, enhancing lips and smokers lines on the lips.

Ask about our ‘non-surgical facelift’, the 8 Point Lift which uses Juvaderm Vycross filler and the most advanced non-surgical techniques to lift and rejuvenate the face.

How soon can I return to my normal routine?
You may experience swelling or redness after treatment. Most people can return to their normal routine on the day they are treated, depending on treatment received.
Are there any Do’s and Don’ts?
After treatment you may be able to return to your daily routine without disruption. However, your aesthetics practitioner may advise avoiding things like wearing makeup on the treated areas, extended periods in the sun, saunas, UV rays or very cold temperatures, for a while.
When should I book a follow-up treatment?
We will advise on how best to maintain your results and usually recommend a follow up appointment 2 weeks after treatment.
Why use Lip Fillers?
Ageing naturally causes your lips to become thinner and lose definition. Where you’re likely to notice it most is around ‘Cupid’s Bow’ – the V-shaped area of your upper lip. You may have used make-up to disguise things, but it can bleed down the vertical wrinkles and actually highlight the problem. Lip fillers (or injections) can be used to give you youthful looking, plump lips, especially effective for women with naturally thin or thinning lips.
How much does it cost?
Price on consultation.
